For perhaps the first time in my life, I've seen none of the films nominated. Ahh, motherhood. There was a time when I'd win the office Oscar pool. I long for a return to those days. But I'll enjoy the show nonetheless. For those not Oscar inclined, tonight PBS airs the conclusion to their wonderful adaptation of Oliver Twist.

Isabel Allende on Book Club Girl on Air!

As I mentioned last week, starting this month there will be two Book Club Girl On Air Book Club Shows in which we'll talk to acclaimed authors, in a book club setting. Next up this month is Elizabeth Noble on February 17th, discussing Things I Want My Daughters to Know. Following that show, I am honored to announce that internationally bestselling author Isabel Allende will join us on February 25th at 7 pm EST to discuss her most recent memoir, just out in paperback, The Sum of Our Days.
