I am a big fan of Daphne Oz. Not only is she a bubbly and gracious co-host of The Chew, but she is also the author of The Dorm Room Diet and of Relish. In Relish, Daphne gives us recipes and tips and techniques to help us live our best lives right now.
Relish is about savoring the moments of our day today, instead of waiting for everything to click into place before we can start enjoying things. One way I put this principle into practice for myself was by joining a book club. I wanted to spend more time with a certain group of girlfriends, and I wanted to read more for myself (mostly I read for work). Now, every six weeks I gather with my girlfriends and discuss our latest book club pick. (This month we’re reading Ian McEwan’s Sweet Tooth.)
While the jury’s still out on Sweet Tooth, I know two things for sure: Relish is a book I will turn to over and over for recipes and guidance; and I will be mixing up (and relishing) Daphne’s Grapefruit Thyme Spritz cocktail at book club this month. I think you should, too! Here’s the recipe.
