Well, sort of...her creator, author Jacqueline Winspear has started a blog, named for her beloved main character Maisie Dobbs! On the blog Winspear plans to write about the extraordinary women, like her fictional creation Maisie Dobbs, who come from that "singular generation in history that encompassed two world wars, the Depression, the so-called Roaring '20s and the austerity '20s." Those of you who participated in the I'm Mad for Maisie Read-Along and our Book Club Girl on Air show with Winspear this past spring know how fascinating this time was, especially for women. I for one, plan to read the blog regularly. (And can't you just see Maisie, if she lived now, blogging? Perhaps anonymously, but I think she'd be into it....). Check out the Maisie Dobbs blog here, friend Jacqueline Winspear on Facebook and below is my interview with her in which she discusses the women of this generation in some detail.

You were the one to turn me on to Maisie Dobbs and I thank you oh so much for it! I discovered her from your site and have quickly devoured everything Maisie. Just love her and Winspear's new blog is going to be great!
