Millions of readers know Sara Shepard from her bestselling Pretty Little Liars and Lying Game series - series which have been turned into 2 hugely popular tv series as well.
What people probably don't know is that Sara Shepard is also an adult novelist, and her new adult novel, Everything We Ever Wanted, is coming out this October and is available for preorder now. In Everything We Ever Wanted, Shepard tells the story of a mainline Philadelphia family with secrets in their past - it's a page-turning novel that I am quite sure will appeal to her legions of exisiting fans and that adult readers will love (and, confession time, we know a lot of the PLL and LG readers are adults). And you don't have to just take my word for it - here's what New York Times bestselling author and book club maven Adriana Trigiani herself has to say about Everything We Ever Wanted:
“Sara Shepard delivers the perfect read with Everything We Ever Wanted. This is a delicious story loaded with mysterious twists and turns and a vault of secrets, that when revealed, will keep you turning pages long into the night. Sara is a brilliant storyteller.”
-Adriana Trigiani, New York Times Bestselling Author of Very Valentine and Brava Valentine

A recently widowed mother of two, Sylvie Bates-McAllister finds her life upended by a late-night phone call from the headmaster of the prestigious private school founded by her grandfather where her adopted son Scott teaches. Allegations of Scott's involvement in a hazing scandal cause a ripple effect, throwing the entire family into chaos. For Charles, Sylvie's biological son, it dredges up a ghost from the past who is suddenly painfully present. For his wife Joanna, it forces her to reevaluate everything she's hoped for in the golden Bates-McAllisters. And for Scott, it illuminates harsh truths about a world he has never truly felt himself a part of.
But for all the Bates-McAllisters, the call exposes a tangled web of secrets that ties the family together: the mystery of the school hazing, the event that tore Charles and Scott apart the night of their high school awards ceremony, and the intended recipient of a certain bracelet. The quest to unravel the truth takes the family on individual journeys across state lines, into hospitals, through the Pennsylvania woods, and face-to-face with the long-dormant question: what if the life you always planned for and dreamed of isn't what you want after all?
The newest book in Sara's Lying Game series, Never Have I Ever, goes on sale tomorrow, August 2nd. We'll be releasing a free e-book excerpt of Everything We Ever Wanted, along with an essay by Sara on writing adult fiction versus YA, at the end of this month - so stay tuned. In the meantime, read Never Have I Ever, watch Pretty Little Liars on ABC Family on Tuesdays at 8 and be sure to follow Sara Shepard on Twitter!

I am SO excited for Never Have I Ever. The Lying Game is the first book I have read of Sara Shepard and I was no disappointed. It is so wonderful to know she coming out with an adult book as well! Not that I don't pilfer the teen section.

Hey everybody, I hope you picked up “Never Have I Ever” yesterday! I actually work with ABC Family and I want to give you guys a heads up – in addition to PLL, ABC Family has another show on Sara Shepard’s great books! The Lying Game comes to TV on Monday, August 15! It’ll be really interesting because, like PLL, it won’t follow the exact direction of the book, but will have all the intrigue and drama from the original. Check out a trailer (http://abcfamily.go.com/shows/lying-game/videos-details/featured/finding-the-truth/pl_PL55134022/vd_VD55137034), I’d love to know what you guys think!
