So excited. Agatha & I go way back to when my grandmother gave me some copies of her 1st AC books when I was a kid. I started reading them order of publishing date last year & got to the 10th book. I believe 163 in total if you count US & UK versions.

Very excited!!

This is such a great idea. I have never read AC. I will try one or two read alongs. This is great to go along with Masterpiece Theatre too. Thank you for hosting.

Martha@Hey, I want to read that

What fun, I can't wait. This is going to be a good summer.

One thing I realized you have to have a twitter account. Do you have to use Twitter or can I leave my comments on the host blog? I don't use it.

Laura Welser

I can't wait! I've always liked Agatha Christie and this gives me a chance to read some that I've never read!

I can't wait. I watched the PBS movie Murder on the Orient Express and picked up the book to go along. I am stoked!

Cheap Jordans

Wisdom in the mind is better than money in the hand.

Oh I am so IN for the short stories. I'm posting Short Story Mondays starting next week and this fits in perfectly! I stopped at the library and have all the stories I need already. I'm psyched.

Nigel Rowe

Although promising original UK text, I'll wager that we won't see Ten Little Niggers, set on Nigger Island!

Karen J Massey

This sounds like fun.

This sounds like it's going to be a fun-filled summer Please count me in!

This sounds awesome! I love Agatha Christie and look forward to participating!

this is going to be good. Dame Agatha is my favorite of all times.

Marianne Gilliam

This does sound like fun. I've already ordered the first book from B & N.

Never heard of Mr. Linky before but I signed up and hopefully it worked! Going to the library now to find some of the books to read!

Michelle S.

I am excited to do this, but I couldn't sign up for Mr. Linky because I don't have a blog address. Hmmmm

re Michelle S. use the facebook address just copy & paste from your home page

Sue Deyo

I'm very excited to do this, however I don't have a URL? Anything I could do about that?

Who is Book Club Girl?

  • Book Club Girl is: a member of a book club and an avid reader who spent most of her childhood immersed in a book, an English major who considered library school until she realized it was all about computers, so turned to publishing, where she now works (but she vows to talk about books from all over and not to simply flog those from her own house). She was single, lived in the city, met a man, moved to the 'burbs, and is now a wife, a stepmother, a mother, and in her spare time, a fledgling blogger dedicated to sharing great books, news and tips with book club girls everywhere.

My Review Policy

  • I review fiction and nonfiction that is appropriate for book clubs. This includes literary and some women's commercial fiction as well as memoir and narrative nonfiction. I do not review self-help, thrillers, mysteries, horror, or fantasy. I have a fondness for YA literature and while the blog is not devoted to it (well, except for my obsession with the Betsy-Tacy series), I will occasionally review some YA books. The best way to reach me to request a review is to email me at bookclubgirl AT gmail DOT com.
