I had so much fun tonight talking with Todd Johnson about his heartbreaking, poignant and at times, hilarious, novel, The Sweet By & By. I loved what he told us about the inspiration for the novel, how he wrote it and what it was like for him to write in the voices of the five wonderful women he created. He discussed some of his literary influences and favorite writers, including Reynolds Price and Jill McCorkle. We also talked about the reaction to the book and the countless letters he continues to receive (some of which are reprinted in the paperback edition of the book). Listen in to hear the entire show now. Thanks so much to Todd for joining us and thank you to all of you who joined us to participate in the discussion!
