This was such a terrific show! Moderated by Virginia Stanley, today's Library Lovefest featured Lizzie Skurnick and Nancy Pearl talking about their favorite YA books - many in print and some gems not. I was only able to listen for the first 35 minutes, but the conversation was roaring along, and the chat room was all lit up with comments and questions and recommendations when I left my desk. Listen in, and have a pen handy to write down titles! I, for one, am going out to buy The Cheerleader right away. And I want to reread Sister of the Bride too (for about the tenth time I'd wager).

It was a good show, wasn't it? I'm on the reserve list for The Cheerleader at my library. If it arrives and I can't read it in time, I'll buy it. Wouldn't it be great if they could get a Rediscoveries line of books?

Finally had a chance to listen to this interview, which I enjoyed, but am surprised Lizzie has never read all of Louisa May Alcott or any Betty Cavanna at all. Nancy Pearl, on the other hand, is a true kindred spirit and even loves Rosamund DuJardin!

I <3 Nancy Pearl (and the Seattle Public Library!). I got the action figure for my sister who is a librarian.
