Mary Beth

I found my way here from Melissa Wiley's blog. I'm converted and would love to convert my friend and her daughter!

Jessica

Directed here by the lovely Melissa Wiley. I am ready to march out and convert (it helps that I'm an elementary teacher and have access to lots of little girls). Sign me up!

Nicole

My daughters and I discovered these books at the library a few months ago. All three of us fell in love and already have two young girls we are hoping to convert. Sign us up! Thanks!

Jennifer

I was a big besy-tacy (and betsy-tacy and tib!) fan as a child, and recently got a betsy tacy book at our local homeschool store, I was thrilled! I would love the opportunity to introduce betsy-tacy to friends of my 9 year old! I was directed here from Melissa Wiley's blog.

Nicol

Is it too late for me to join in. I recently found the Betsy-Tacy books and would love to share my new found love!

melanie

I'm in the process of being converted now! Love love love it.

Sheila

Drats I am too late but can I just say that if anyone wants to convert me I am a willing (and hopeful) subject? I do not know this Betsy Tacy of which you all speak so enthusiastically, but I'd like to.

kathy

I loved Betsy-Tacy as a girl and haven't read them in years b/c of being the mom of 4 boys but would love to re-read and convert our 2 neighbor girls 11 and 8. thank you for all these reading opportunities.

Emily

Yay!!! I am so happy that you extended the deadline!!! Now I can convert someone...or hopefully more then one person : ) I would love to blog about it too. Count me in!

Becky

I'm in, although where I will find a child, I don't know.

Jess

I have vague pleasant memories of the series, as I did not own it but just stole peeks at passages from a friend's library. I would love to reread them again and have them to share with my daughter Kate. Thanks!!

Sara

I will happily take this opportunity to share the wealth! I'm so glad these are being reissued for my second daughter.

Wendy

I'd like to sign up....I have a daughter and a step daughter...Frankly, I don't think I have read any of the Betsy-Tacy books! And I don't think either of my girls has, either.

Susan Gaissert

I have a wonderful convert in mind. Thank you so much for doing this.

Rachel Wright

Wow. I can't wait to get going with this!

Joanne

I can't wait to share the book with my daughters, age 7 and 9!

Yvonne

Hi, I'd love to be involved. I have a daughter who has not yet discovered the pleasures of these books.

cutelittlething

Oh my, sign us up. My 7yr old dd just gave copies of BT and BTT to her best friend that moved away. Knowing that Tib moved away and that they remained friends tempered the blow. Also on our summer vacation we converted my mom age 69, she was in her rocker with her crocheting just waiting for story time. Go Zets!!

Dianne Bell

I'm in - and I know just the perfect person! What a delightful idea - Thanks!

Mary

This sounds like a wonderful way to introduce my daughters to Betsy.

    Who is Book Club Girl?

    • Book Club Girl is: a member of a book club and an avid reader who spent most of her childhood immersed in a book, an English major who considered library school until she realized it was all about computers, so turned to publishing, where she now works (but she vows to talk about books from all over and not to simply flog those from her own house). She was single, lived in the city, met a man, moved to the 'burbs, and is now a wife, a stepmother, a mother, and in her spare time, a fledgling blogger dedicated to sharing great books, news and tips with book club girls everywhere.

    My Review Policy

    • I review fiction and nonfiction that is appropriate for book clubs. This includes literary and some women's commercial fiction as well as memoir and narrative nonfiction. I do not review self-help, thrillers, mysteries, horror, or fantasy. I have a fondness for YA literature and while the blog is not devoted to it (well, except for my obsession with the Betsy-Tacy series), I will occasionally review some YA books. The best way to reach me to request a review is to email me at bookclubgirl AT gmail DOT com.
