Addie Downs and Valerie Adler will be best friends forever. That's what Addie believes after Valerie moves across the street when they're both nine years old. But in the wake of betrayal during their teenage years, Val is swept into the popular crowd, while mousy, sullen Addie becomes her school's scapegoat. Flash-forward fifteen years. Valerie Adler has found a measure of fame and fortune working as the weathergirl at the local TV station. Addie Downs lives alone in her parents' house in their small hometown of Pleasant Ridge, Illinois, caring for a troubled brother and trying to meet Prince Charming on the Internet. She's just returned from Bad Date #6 when she opens her door to find her long-gone best friend standing there, a terrified look on her face and blood on the sleeve of her coat. "Something horrible has happened," Val tells Addie, "and you're the only one who can help." Best Friends Forever is a grand, hilarious, edge-of-your-seat adventure; a story about betrayal and loyalty, family history and small-town secrets. It's about living through tragedy, finding love where you least expect it, and the ties that keep best friends together. (from the Simon and Schuster website) Plus the cover just screams "take me to the beach and read me!" Look for Jennifer Weiner on tour near you, follow her on Twitter, and check out the reading group guide to Best Friends Forever. To enter to win two copies of Best Friends Forever, tell me about the BFF with whom you'll share your second copy! That's right -- I have two copies of book club favorite Jennifer Weiner's brand-new novel Best Friends Forever, to give away -- one for you and one for YOUR BFF! The premise of Weiner's new novel sounds so great --

I'd love to win this! I've read ALL of her books and am a huge fan! I'm dying to read and review it!

I had the pleasure of seeing Jennifer last night at a book signing at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle NYC. She was so funny; she had her loyal audience of fans in stitches last night.
Listening to her talk was just like sitting with your best friend. She reminded me of Adriana Trigiani in the way in which she was so welcoming to everyone, and she remembered people she had met before.
I'm about 100 pages into the book and it's terrific so far. I posted some pictures from last night on my blog here: http://bookchickdi.blogspot.com/2009/07/jennifer-weiner-and-all-her-best.html

I would share the second copy with my best friend and sister, Kim. We have read all of Wiener's books and talk about them all the time. Our favorite is In Her Shoes [we didn't like the movie!].

I'd love to win a copy for me and my BFF, my sister. She and I are two years apart and even though we live hundreds of miles apart, we still chat often and are very close. She's a book lover like me, not too many of those in our family!

I will share my copy with my BFF Mimi, who is battling cancer. We have been friends for about 40 years--since nursery school--and I am praying for her every day.

I would love this book. I just recently got back in touch with my friend Lisa who I haven't seen in 20 years. We were so close as children but then life sent us in opposite directions. Its been so nice being able to talk to her again!
Please enter me to win. Would love to share with my BFF!

My BFF and I have been friends since elementary school. She is always there to remind me how far I've come in life since I was that shy 8 year old! Although we are miles apart, I know I can always count on her.

YAY! I would be psyched to win. My best friend is also a huge reader, and loves women's fiction! She's no-nonsense, tough but very sweet to those she loves. And she's a big girlie-girl -- like me! :) Though we went to high school together, we've really been best friends since my sophomore year of college, when we both started working at a craft store. We had some fun times! :)
Thanks for the chance! :)

I would definitely give my second copy to my friend The Bibliophile. We've been best friends since Kindergarten, and she's the one who introduced me to Jennifer Weiner!

I would like to win a copy of this for my best friend, my mum. She gave me the love of books I have today (I was potty trained by given books to look at to keep me on there lol). We share every book we have and swap constantly so it gets difficult to remember who's read what. We could have our own copies so no confusion x

I would share my 2nd copy with my BFF Joetta. We met on the first day of first grade and have been best friends ever since - now 28 years later!

I will totally share the book with my BFF Tammy whom I met in college. Back then we were more different that you could imagine, but we have stuck together and been bffs for 16 years! Even though we don't live close to eachother and only see eachother ever few months...we pick up right where we left off. We always share our latest reads with eachother so this would be any different and we both love Jennifer's books! Sign me up!

I'd love to read this with my BFF, Michelle. Our friendship is enhanced through books. Our love for Anne of Green Gables is bringing us to PEI. We played in the Twilight Fan Baseball event after reading the Twilight series together. And every week, we check in for the latest reads and author events in our area. I'd love to share this with her too!
