As many of you who were there (or who followed along on Twitter) know, today's Book Blogger Panel at BEA was a resounding success. Many issues, from how to find the right blog, how to pitch a blogger and the nitty gritty like, so, what is a blog tour? were discussed. Thank you so much to the audience for your great questions. It was such a lively exchange! You can read one report of the panel from Publishers Weekly here.
I cannot thank Julie, Stephanie, Amy, Candace, Dawn and Natasha enough for coming on board and sharing their thoughts and their time with everyone in the room. They were mobbed at the end, it was so terrific! For those of you who weren't able to score a tote bag with the accompanying cheat sheet, as promised, I'm posting the contact info and blogger directories that were on that sheet here.
As soon as we have the recording of the panel sorted out, I'll post it so those who missed it can listen in. A big thank you to Michael for being our AV guy. And remember, there is still one more day at BEA, so there's time to meet more book bloggers at Firebrand's booth #4077 on Sunday!

Huge thanks to Book Club Girl and HarperCollins for allowing me to sit on the panel and represent some of the book bloggers in this wonderful community!
We are greatly diverse, but I believe we touched upon a number of issues that will apply to the majority.
It was a great experience which should benefit all of us - bloggers, publishers, authors, READERS!

The Bloggers Panel at BEA was a delight! Grateful thanks to all who participated. The energy and passion for books reminded me why I have worked for over 40 years in publishing and never been bored! There was also so much useful information. I am the founder of the Jean V. Naggar Literary Agency, and after 32 years as an agent, I have just had my own first book, a memoir of the vanished world of an unusual childhood, published: SIPPING FROM THE NILE, My Exodus From Egypt. I think it would make a great topic for book club discussion and would be happy to send a review copy if you are interested. I would also be happy to participate in book club discussions in person or by phone. You can Google either of the hats I wear!

Thanks so much to Jennifer for moderating the panel and allowing me to be a part of this great discussion. I was watching the audience and was so happy to see much nodding and note taking going on. I hope we represented the entire blogging community.
