I love Jodi Picoult because her books always make me think. Plus they are terrific for book club discussions!

I also tweeted!

I love Jodi Picoult. I am currently reading Perfect Match and have read almost all over her books.

While her books tend to follow the same formula, she manages to keep things interesting and controversial and that is why I lover her!

I love Jodi Picoult. I've read everything she's written and some are among my favorite books ever. I'd love to win a copy of this one. Her books normally leave me asking myself questions and I like that.

The first Jodi Picoult novel I read was Plain Truth. I knew nothing about this author and I was totally captured from the first paragraph. The twist ending caught me totally off-guard and I think that is why I am drawn to her novels: they make me think about relevant issues of the day - and the endings are not always neat and tidy -- just like real life.

I love Jodi Picoults books because she writes characters that make you really care about them and the story.

Hmm...I do love Jodi Picoult. Why? Well, I've read two of her books, and I think she makes a point of showing that many things are not as they might seem, things are often very complicated, and few things are black and white. True, no?

I love the intensity of Jodi Picoult, it is crazy and I love it. I am reading Plain Truth right now for my in person book club!

Thanks so much for this offer :)

I mean, well, it's Jodi Piccoult.

I heard Jodi Picoult is a great writer but I've never read any of her books! I'd love to read this one.

I LOVE jodi picoult. She is awesome in her writing. the first book i read by her was Plain Truth. I am so fascinated with amish ppl bcoz of it!

have loved all her books since then! She has as very plain yet intruiging way of setting up her characters...pls cound me in. i really would love to win this!

Jodi is coming to L.A. on March 20th and I hope to go see her. I have The Pact on my shelf just waiting for a good read!

I like that she writes in a way that let's you participate in the reading of her books. She not only tells a tale, but she gets you to question how you feel about a subject. Medical ethics is something that is really interesting for me. I don't know how I feel about the issues she will bring up, but I also doubt I would be willing to sue my physician over not testing my child in vivo. Anyway, I also blogged about it here ( I figure, by blogging about it, I reduced my chances since I am encouraging people to hop on over and participate.

That's okay. I hope one of my reader's wins a copy.

Bermuda Onion - I moved your comment here and will count it

This is showing up 3 times, so I hope I'm commenting on the right one. I'd love to win this book. I tweeted about it -

Alicia, this is yours
I am so excited to read this book, I really enjoy her writing! I can't believe that I didn't know about this book until just last week...I'm a bad fan!

I Love Jodi Picoult. I was going to enter the contest, but just got an email from my library that my hold for the book is ready! Whoopie! Good Luck everyone else.

I love Jodi's books. She usually does a wonderful job of taking a difficult and emotional issue and giving both sides.

I'll post about you on my blog.

And I'll add you to my Twitter!

Thank you Book Club Girl!

I love Picoult! I own every one of her books. My favorite is her 19 minutes. I got it from the library this fall and had to run out and get my own copy after I had finished it.
I blogged about the contest:

I love Jodi Picoult because she takes issues I generally see as black or white and shows all the shades of grey. She challenges me as a person and keeps me on the edge of my seat until the very last page!

I too love Jodi Picoult. I have read most of her books and have discussed some of them in book groups. I love the way she wraps an intriguing ethical dilemma with an interesting, textured story. Would love to win a copy of her newest book. Thanks!

I love Jodi Picoult because her writing is always thought-provoking. She deals with incredible ethical/moral issues and from interviews I've read, she does a LOT of research for her novels!! I'd love to win this one :)

Who is Book Club Girl?

  • Book Club Girl is: a member of a book club and an avid reader who spent most of her childhood immersed in a book, an English major who considered library school until she realized it was all about computers, so turned to publishing, where she now works (but she vows to talk about books from all over and not to simply flog those from her own house). She was single, lived in the city, met a man, moved to the 'burbs, and is now a wife, a stepmother, a mother, and in her spare time, a fledgling blogger dedicated to sharing great books, news and tips with book club girls everywhere.

My Review Policy

  • I review fiction and nonfiction that is appropriate for book clubs. This includes literary and some women's commercial fiction as well as memoir and narrative nonfiction. I do not review self-help, thrillers, mysteries, horror, or fantasy. I have a fondness for YA literature and while the blog is not devoted to it (well, except for my obsession with the Betsy-Tacy series), I will occasionally review some YA books. The best way to reach me to request a review is to email me at bookclubgirl AT gmail DOT com.
