I'd like to participate! Sounds like a good book.

I've never participated in a book club, but the book sounds wonderful. I'd give it a go.

Joelle McCulley

I can't wait to read this book!

Julie P.

Don't send me a copy, but I plan on reading the book and being there! Looking forward to it!

Kristie Cozad

What a heart-wrenching topic! There's sure to be plenty to think about and discuss in this one!

This is one memorable book which would be wonderful to read. Thanks for this opportunity.

gwendolyn b.

I've been looking forward to reading this book. I would love to participate in the book club. Thank you for hosting it!

I can try and be on-line, with a 10 month old it is hard to make promises. :)

Julie E.

I'd like to participate! I enjoyed "The Reading Group" as well.

Kristie C.,
your email didn't show up for me to contact you for your address. Send me your snail mail address at bookclubgirl AT gmail DOT com. Thanks!

I'd like to participate and would love to read the book.I'm a sucker for a good tear-jerker, which doesn't take much in my "pre-menopausal" state!

stacey @ book:thirty

This is a great idea for moms/sisters/daughters to participate together! I have three sisters and three daughters - I would love to be a part of this book club read!

I didn't count the comments. Hope I made it in.

Trying this again.. my comment did not post the first time.

Sarah L

I'd love to read this book and participate. It has been on my TBR list for awhile!

Not sure if I made the first fifteen but I think I left the wrong email address with my first post. The one attached with this comment is the right one!

Darby Lohrding

Oh my gosh, I think if I counted right that I am poster number 15!
Yikes, this is close!!
I do want to participate if I may!

I meant #15 to get a book, not the 15th to comment.

If there's still space I'd love to win a copy of the book! I feel like my mom and my grandmother would also adore it :)

Who is Book Club Girl?

  • Book Club Girl is: a member of a book club and an avid reader who spent most of her childhood immersed in a book, an English major who considered library school until she realized it was all about computers, so turned to publishing, where she now works (but she vows to talk about books from all over and not to simply flog those from her own house). She was single, lived in the city, met a man, moved to the 'burbs, and is now a wife, a stepmother, a mother, and in her spare time, a fledgling blogger dedicated to sharing great books, news and tips with book club girls everywhere.

My Review Policy

  • I review fiction and nonfiction that is appropriate for book clubs. This includes literary and some women's commercial fiction as well as memoir and narrative nonfiction. I do not review self-help, thrillers, mysteries, horror, or fantasy. I have a fondness for YA literature and while the blog is not devoted to it (well, except for my obsession with the Betsy-Tacy series), I will occasionally review some YA books. The best way to reach me to request a review is to email me at bookclubgirl AT gmail DOT com.
