Many of you may have noticed this lovely National Reading Group Month logo on the left-side of the blog. This year marks the second annual celebration of October as National Reading Group Month, as sponsored by the Women's National Book Association and the official website for NRGM is now live.
Check it out to find an event near you in the next month. Currently there are events planned in Boston, Detroit, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Nashville and DC with reading group favorite authors and book experts including Nancy Pearl, Nancy Horan, Garth Stein, Lisa See, Yxta Maya Murray, Jennifer Haigh, Alice Mattison, Philippa Gregory, Shireen Dodson, Joan Anderson and Elizabeth Strout.

Yay! I keep checking the site to see if it's "up and running" ... heading over now to see the events in my area. Thanks for letting us know about this!

Do you know if Deborah Kanafani will be speaking anywhere? Her book, Unveiled: How an American Woman Found Her Way Through Politics, Love and Obedience in The Middle East was fascinating. Not only her story but she also tells the stories of the wives of Arab leaders that became her friends. PW
