Awesome! Can't wait for this movie! I agree on the casting for young Voldemort. I've actually heard that the actor is Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort)'s nephew. I thought that was cool!

Book Club Girl

Thanks Jenn, I didn't know that --he's Hero Fiennes-Tiffin -- do we know if he's Joseph's son? And where, btw, did Joseph Fiennes go? I'll never forget him in the first Elizabeth.....

I took my daughter and her friend to see *Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants* last night; *Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince* was one of the trailers we saw ... the YouTube clip is good, but it was unbelievably dark and effective on the big screen!

Book Club Girl

Argh, I took my daughter to see Sisterhood 2 today as well, but due to a slow concession stand worker (grrr) we missed all the previews! I'm really bummed not to have seen this one on the big screen.

Ha, I was going to mention about the young actor being the nephew of Ralph Fiennes, but it looks like Jenn J beat me to it.

BTW, how was the Sisterhood movie? I've read the first three books and enjoyed the first movie, but think I may have to wait for the DVD on this one.

Oooh! Thanks for posting this--I hadn't seen it yet. I cannot wait until it comes out! :D

Who is Book Club Girl?

  • Book Club Girl is: a member of a book club and an avid reader who spent most of her childhood immersed in a book, an English major who considered library school until she realized it was all about computers, so turned to publishing, where she now works (but she vows to talk about books from all over and not to simply flog those from her own house). She was single, lived in the city, met a man, moved to the 'burbs, and is now a wife, a stepmother, a mother, and in her spare time, a fledgling blogger dedicated to sharing great books, news and tips with book club girls everywhere.

My Review Policy

  • I review fiction and nonfiction that is appropriate for book clubs. This includes literary and some women's commercial fiction as well as memoir and narrative nonfiction. I do not review self-help, thrillers, mysteries, horror, or fantasy. I have a fondness for YA literature and while the blog is not devoted to it (well, except for my obsession with the Betsy-Tacy series), I will occasionally review some YA books. The best way to reach me to request a review is to email me at bookclubgirl AT gmail DOT com.
