I'd love to join in the conversation again if you'll have me and I'd love to snag a copy of the book as this is one I actually haven't purchased yet. Thanks!

I've haven't yet been able to participate in one of your author discussions or read Ann Patchett before, so I would love to get a copy and join in! Thanks!

Julie P.

I read this when it came out in hardcover. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Please don't send me a copy, but I am planning on participating in the discussion.

I would love to participate in the discussion again, but I'm getting a copy of Run from Every Day I Write the Book Blog - she's doing the same book for discussion! One read, two discussions - - Bonus!

I didn't get to join gin on your last one because I hadn't read the book, but would love to get in on the action this time around.

Julie E.

Well, I love Ann Patchett, so of course I'd like to participate. If I'm eligible for a book, it may be better to send it to my work address. Please e-mail me for new address if possible. :) Thank you!

Karen Haney

I would love to get a copy of Run and be in on this discussion. My concern is what if I am working during the time it is on? I have been successfully reviewing books now for the past 6 months. Please email me for address if I qualify for a chance at RUN. Thanks, K

This sounds like a memorable book and discussion. Thanks for this opportunity.

oooo this book looks so interesting! I'd love to participate =)

I'd love to read *Run* and participate in the discussion with Ann Patchett!

Without sounding too fawning, I have to say that *Bel Canto* was one of the best books ever, which piques my interest in *Run*.

I'd love to participate in the discussion on September 24th, please count me in! I've bookmarked your site and can't wait to receive this book.

No need to send me the book, I've got a copy from a friend. I'll plan to participate in the discussion. Thanks, BCG!

I love this author. I love everything she has written but I have not had a chance to read this one yet. I would love to be a part of this discussion. Thanks!

Lisa C

I'd love to participate, too, but do not need a copy of the book. Thanks!

I plan to participate for sure but I am getting a copy from EDIWTB so you do not have to send me one this time! Thanks.

Just wanted to let you know, when I was about to write the call in time for the author discussion of Run, I realized it's the same night of my local book club meeting! No need to send me the book, since I won't be able to participate in the call. Hopefully next time!

I would love to participate in this! Run has been on my wish list for awhile now.

Opps, sorry about the double post! The page timed out after I clicked send for the first comment, so I wasn't sure if it had been sent or not.

Who is Book Club Girl?

  • Book Club Girl is: a member of a book club and an avid reader who spent most of her childhood immersed in a book, an English major who considered library school until she realized it was all about computers, so turned to publishing, where she now works (but she vows to talk about books from all over and not to simply flog those from her own house). She was single, lived in the city, met a man, moved to the 'burbs, and is now a wife, a stepmother, a mother, and in her spare time, a fledgling blogger dedicated to sharing great books, news and tips with book club girls everywhere.

My Review Policy

  • I review fiction and nonfiction that is appropriate for book clubs. This includes literary and some women's commercial fiction as well as memoir and narrative nonfiction. I do not review self-help, thrillers, mysteries, horror, or fantasy. I have a fondness for YA literature and while the blog is not devoted to it (well, except for my obsession with the Betsy-Tacy series), I will occasionally review some YA books. The best way to reach me to request a review is to email me at bookclubgirl AT gmail DOT com.
