Julie P.

I am very interested in reading this book and participating in the radio discussion. That is, unless you are looking for new/different people -- and then I totally understand!

I'd love to read *The Madonnas of Leningrad* and contribute to your discussion with Debra Dean.

I've been fortunate to participate in your calls the past few months, so, like Julie P. says, I can go to the back of the line if need be :)

I would love to read and participate, too. If you're looking for new people, I would understand if I was skipped. Thanks. Lisa

I would love to read and participate -- I've also been lucky enough to participate before, so I can go to the back of the line too!

I love to participate in these discussions! Count me in (unless you want some new folks for the group).

It would be wonderful to participate. Thanks for this chance. The book sounds fascinating.

Can I have a second chance? I was supposed to participate in the "Stone Creek" discussion but got stuck waiting out a horrendous downpour during my commute home! I'd really like to do this, but I will understand if you'd prefer not to include me. :(

Hi Jen, I would love to participate again. Thanks so much!

Beth Docherty

I would love, love, love to participate! This is one I've heard so many good things about!

I would love to participate. I am sorry I missed the last one--I was at play, but I am going to listen to it as soon as I get my computer situation resolved.

I have been meaning to read this book since it came out. But like most of us bibliophile too many books and not enough time. Now, I am really obligated to read it.
If I don't get a copy I will truy to get a copy at the library.

The novel is definitely one that interests me. Thanks for this opportunity.

Hi Jen, I'd love to participate in the discussion. I got stuck with work with Stone Creek but had sent in some questions and listened to the show later. I've already got the book coming-I ordered it the other day so skip me for that part. Thanks!

Darby Lohrding

Hi Jen,
I love being part of this virtual on-line book club. Please if numbers allow, send me a copy.
You always have the best "picks"!!!
Thank you,

This is a great book-- I will try to listen in--I read it about 2 years ago with my little book group. We had a great discussion. I'll try to grab a copy to brush up. I highly recommend this one, and it is a quick read.

I'd love to participate if there is still space available!

Crystal Boone

Jen if you have an opening I would love to participate. I Loved the last discussion so much that I am actually going to use Stone Creek for an upcoming month in my book club!!!!

I would be very interested in participating if there are still openings. I recently reviewed the book on my blog, at Thanks!

I would love to participate but I think it's too late. If not, please let me know. Thanks so much!

Who is Book Club Girl?

  • Book Club Girl is: a member of a book club and an avid reader who spent most of her childhood immersed in a book, an English major who considered library school until she realized it was all about computers, so turned to publishing, where she now works (but she vows to talk about books from all over and not to simply flog those from her own house). She was single, lived in the city, met a man, moved to the 'burbs, and is now a wife, a stepmother, a mother, and in her spare time, a fledgling blogger dedicated to sharing great books, news and tips with book club girls everywhere.

My Review Policy

  • I review fiction and nonfiction that is appropriate for book clubs. This includes literary and some women's commercial fiction as well as memoir and narrative nonfiction. I do not review self-help, thrillers, mysteries, horror, or fantasy. I have a fondness for YA literature and while the blog is not devoted to it (well, except for my obsession with the Betsy-Tacy series), I will occasionally review some YA books. The best way to reach me to request a review is to email me at bookclubgirl AT gmail DOT com.
