This sounds like a great opportunity! I love author chats!!! I might be a little nervous to call in, but I will definitely send some questions. I hope that doesn't sound like I won't call -- I will if you need me to!

Jenn J

Sounds like a lot of fun! Count me in! Let me know what you need!!

I'd love to participate--just have to read the book ahead of time! have not heard of this one...looking forward to it!

Beth D

I would love to participate as well! Hopefully I could ask some intelligent questions!

Book Club Girl

Beth - I tried to email you but it got bounced back. Send your snail mail address to bookclubgirl AT gmail DOT com and we'll send you the book!

This sounds fun. I'm going to see if I have time to read the book before the show.

Starting it tonight! Yea!

I finished reading this night before last--I was up until 1:30--very compelling and heartbreaking--I can't wait for April 9th.

I'm probably waaaay too late for this, but I'd be interested in participating in the discussion. This book has been on my "TBR" shelf for some time now.

I didn't make it to the discussion but I did read this book partly because I had seen it on your blog and it was recommended to me. What a wonderful novel full of emotion, hope and the will to survive. I thorougly enjoyed it.

Book Club Girl

Darlene, in case you still want to give it a listen, you can now do so right from this site -- just click on the blue blog talk radio box on the right hand side and you can hear the discussion we had with Katrina Kittle -- which was so interesting and enlightening. I'm so glad that you liked the book!

Who is Book Club Girl?

  • Book Club Girl is: a member of a book club and an avid reader who spent most of her childhood immersed in a book, an English major who considered library school until she realized it was all about computers, so turned to publishing, where she now works (but she vows to talk about books from all over and not to simply flog those from her own house). She was single, lived in the city, met a man, moved to the 'burbs, and is now a wife, a stepmother, a mother, and in her spare time, a fledgling blogger dedicated to sharing great books, news and tips with book club girls everywhere.

My Review Policy

  • I review fiction and nonfiction that is appropriate for book clubs. This includes literary and some women's commercial fiction as well as memoir and narrative nonfiction. I do not review self-help, thrillers, mysteries, horror, or fantasy. I have a fondness for YA literature and while the blog is not devoted to it (well, except for my obsession with the Betsy-Tacy series), I will occasionally review some YA books. The best way to reach me to request a review is to email me at bookclubgirl AT gmail DOT com.
